Woodman's Opens 18th Store

October 8, 2019 After two years of planning and nearly one year of construction, Woodman's Markets opened it's new Lakemoor, IL store in early September 2019. The new store, at the corner of Highway 12 and Route 120, is Woodman's 5th Illinois store and 18th overall.

The new store features the same great selection and savings Woodman's customers have grown to love including a huge variety of products in all departments, and several aisles dedicated solely to international, natural and organic food varieties. At over 240,000 square feet, the store also includes a sushi bar, select hot/prepared foods, a well-stocked enclosed liquor store and online shopping services (pick-up & delivery). Outside the store, customers can visit Woodman's gas station, complete with convenience store, car wash and oil change services. The store is open 24 hours.

Woodman's Celebrates 100th Anniversary

March 1, 2019 Woodman's Markets is celebrating 100 years of business throughout 2019! As a way to thank our dedicated employees and loyal customers for their decades of support, Woodman's will be hosting special celebrations at each store location, beginning in May. Celebrations will take place in the store parking lot, and include a brat/hotdog meal, various vendors/samples and of course, birthday cake!

Woodman's was founded in 1919 by John Woodman as a corner produce stand in Janesville, Wisconsin. Woodman's would continue to grow over the next several decades, and open it's first store outside of Janesville in neighboring Beloit in 1971, followed by many more stores, including it's first store outside of Wisconsin in 2001. Today, Woodman's remains headquartered in Janesville and has 17 stores throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois. An 18th location is planned to open in the fall of 2019. With stores averaging over 230,000 square feet, Woodman's store are some of the largest grocery-only stores in the nation. Each store features a huge variety of products in all departments, a well-stocked liquor store and gas station in close proximity to the store.

Woodman's Opens Buffalo Grove, IL Store

October 6, 2018 Woodman's Markets opened it's new store in Buffalo Grove, IL in late August 2018. The new store on Deerfield Parkway, is the first Woodman's store to open in Illinois since the North Aurora location opened in 2006. Another Illinois store is planned to open in fall of 2019.

The store features a new home improvement section and contemporary interior design unlike any Woodman's store to date. While some things may change, the same great selection and savings Woodman's customers have grown to love, will remain. In addition to the main grocery departments, the store also includes a large variety of international, natural & organic items, a sushi bar, a well-stocked enclosed liquor store and online shopping services (pick-up & delivery). Outside the store, customers can visit Woodman's gas station, complete with convenience store, car wash and oil change services. The store is open 24 hours.
